School Holiday!! Where to go?

Its not the end of May yet, but why not plan your family vacation from now? 

The school holidays start from 27th May 2014 to 14th June 2014.  So what are special events in Malaysia that are happening during the holiday season?

Pesta Wau Antarabangsa Kelantan (Kelantan International Kite Festival)
28 - 31 May 2014
Geting Beach, Tumpat, Kelantan.

Colourful 'Wau' (giant kite) of various shapes and sizes will paint the sky while fabulous food will whet your appetite.  there will be assortment of crafts for souvenir hunters.  visitors can also enjoy the cultural shows and dikir barat competitions that spice up the festival.  with over 120 local and 47 international participants from 18 countries as well as exciting activities to be wowed during the festival.

This month long harvest festival celebrates the culture and lifestyle of the Kadazandusun community of Sabah.  It is helc welcoming the new harvest season and to offer gratitude for the good harvest.

TRAIL: George Town World Heritage City Celebration by UNESCO

George Town, Penang

Journey down Penang's memory lane and heritage .  Named after Britain's King Geoge III, george Town has a unique living heritage which will be revealed through the array of cultural perfomances, traditions, arts, dance and delicious food.

Ok, these are some of events which are happening around the school break end of May.  It is the best time to learn local culture from the events.  You may choose a lot more destinations for you holiday.  These are my suggestion. Enjoy your vacation!! :)
